Michele Heffner

Michele studied cosmetology at the Arlington Academy of Beauty Culture outside of Chicago, Illinois, earning her license in 1986, a month before receiving her high school diploma. She then began her long career as a cosmetologist. She acknowledges, “I never would have guessed my love for serving people would lead me to a small town outside Lancaster, Pennsylvania.”

While practicing in Illinois, she had to take training every year to maintain her credentials. Now, living in Pennsylvania, she enjoys taking classes to stay current on the trends popular among her clients. Staying up-to-date in her craft allows Michele to provide her clients with first-class hair and beauty services. Mediocrity is not an option for her. That decorum has led her to attend numerous classes in cutting and advanced color application techniques from companies such as Matrix and All Nutrient. Additionally, she has taken advanced classes in perming, razor cutting, and men’s clipper cuts. In her words, “The most interesting class I’ve taken involved learning how to wrap a perm on chop sticks.” That's how she specialized in the unique, spiral curling technique.

The long and windy road has led her from Illinois to Ephrata, where she began working at Details Hair Design in 2005 after marrying her husband Steve. Before purchasing the salon from Jody and John Keener in 2015, she enjoyed working for 10 years with Jody. Michele was an integral part of the salon and helped it grow to its current reputation as a leading salon in hair coloring.

Michele enjoys spending her time with her adoring husband Steve and her beautiful daughter Anna. She also enjoys gardening and tending to her numerous pets. She would love to own a farm one day. She fosters stray cats and kittens for rescue agencies, as well as “puppy walking” for agencies such as the Guide Dog Foundation and Canine Companions for Independence in her leisure time.

Lindsey Cunningham

For as long as she can remember, Lindsey loves hairstyling. She completed her professional training at the Lancaster School of Cosmetology and graduated in 2011.

During her course of study, Lindsey felt blessed to work with a very diverse clientele that helped her to understand and work with all types and textures of hair. While Lindsey has always loved to cut and style hair, she has developed a keen passion for hair color as well. She is very excited to learn as much as she can, availing herself of training opportunities and classes in several different color lines including Matrix, Wella, and Eufora while staying up-to-date with haircut and updo classes. 

Lindsey loves making her clients look and feel beautiful. She says, "the most memorable moment in my career was when a client looked at herself in the mirror, with tears in her eyes, and said ‘I look beautiful!’ That’s why I do what I do.” Details Hair Design is proud of Lindsey's contributions to the salon. Jolene Nolt

Jolene graduated from Empire Beauty School in 2007. She says, “I love learning and applying the newest color and cutting techniques to my work. Color is my passion, and cutting and styling is the framework I choose to display my artwork.” 

Jolene has demonstrated a track record of success at Details Hair Design, and has developed a happy and loyal clientele. Jolene brings a true sense of professionalism to her craft, “I love what I do, but I know I'm where I'm supposed to be when I see the look of confidence on my clients' faces when I've completed a service.” Jolene provides expert hair services in all aspects of cutting, styling, coloring, and highlights. When she is not in the salon, Jolene enjoys spending time with her husband of 10 years and with her 3 young children.

Angela McKinney

Angie joined the Details Hair Design family in July of 2016. She completed her training in cosmetology in 1990 at the Brownstown Career and Technology Center, and has many years of experience in the industry.

Angie has also made it a practice to keep up-to-date on newer styles and techniques by attending classes and seminars. As she well states “I love this industry because there are always fresh ideas out there and new ways to create a look or style which makes our clients happy and confident.”
